14.34 – Day 4 – Telavi

I was tasting wines at Schuchmanns Winery in Telavi, a German owned Georgian vineyard that has been producing wines since 2008. They use 2 methods to produce wine – European and Georgian. The Georgian method involves fermenting wine in a clay pot in the ground. The result is a stronger, earthier wine that tastes and looks different to its European counterpart.
