Canteen 57, duck, herring, Moscow

Canteen 57

We were starting to tire after the overnight train and a walking tour in -25c so we headed to Canteen 57. The selection of soviet food was vast and we were both gluttons. I had my usual herring starter, duck with cranberry and mash potato, a side salad and a large beer. The duck needed more sauce but the mash was delicious. The herring lived up to expectations so I was very happy.
